The run course is very flat and winds past salt marches and dunes with spectacular views of Long Island Sound.
Long sleeve tee shirts will be given to the first 200 5K pre-entrants. Race day entrants not guaranteed t-shirts. Kids’ jaunt participants will receive jingle bells. Awards will be given to top finisher (male and female) overall and top finisher (male and female) in each age group; 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-69, 70 and over (no overlap allowed). Pre-registration $25, must be received by Monday December 7, 2009 by mail or on-line,active.com. Register on race day for $30. No refunds or exchanges. Race day entry and packet pick-up begins at 8:00 AM. All participants will be asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for donation to the CT. Food Bank as part of their registration. In addition, any participants who have a pair of old running shoes are asked to bring them to be donated to ReUSE-A-SHOE.
