Chips Family Restaurant in Orange, home of the "Best Pancakes Around," will host a Thanksgiving Pancake Breakfast for homeless veterans. Chips owner George Chatzopoulos will contribute 100% of the proceeds (including staff tips!) to The Homefront, a new transitional housing facility in New Haven for homeless veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Columbus House, an organization that serves the homeless, will open The Homefront in January 2010. For more information, go to www.columbushouse.org.
